Bruce leads financial planning and strategy development for The Starner Group of Raymond James. Bruce is a Certified Financial Planner™ professional and has also been earned the Private Wealth Advisor designation from Raymond James, awarded to financial advisors who have demonstrated mastery in anticipating and managing the expansive financial needs of high-net-worth individuals, families, and organizations. Bruce is widely recognized for his insurance expertise, which has led to numerous opportunities to engage with the news media. Bruce is also one of 20 financial advisors nationwide to serve on the Insured Retirement Institute (IRI) Advisor Advisory Council, an invitation-only council that provides input to the insurance industry on initiatives that impact financial advisors and their clients. A recognized expert in longevity planning, Bruce serves as a member of the Raymond James Longevity Advisory Board and holds a CLTC® (Certification in Long Term Care) designation.

Bruce completed his bachelor’s degree in English at the University of Chicago and earned an Advanced Business Management Certification from Northwestern University’s Kellogg Graduate School of Management.

A strong believer in community service, Bruce serves on the board of Vs. Theater Company and The Giving Exchange, a non-profit that provides business training and seed capital to help local leaders create self-sustainable micro-enterprises for the benefit of their communities.

Bruce is a big believer in spending quality time with family and he is the proud father of two children who have inherited his passion for roller coasters.
